Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5L Fisheye STM Lens – a 190° Circular View
Announced on 5 February 2026, this is Canon’s first native RF mount fisheye zoom and the first lens of any make to offer a circular 190° angle of view. Zooming from 7mm to 14mm moves you from a full circular fisheye to a frame-filling one, which means a single lens covers two effects that previously needed two.
Paired with Canon’s EOS VR Utility software it also produces hemispherical 2D 180° VR images, so the same lens serves conventional fisheye work and immersive capture. Close focus of 0.15m lets you push right up to a subject and keep the whole environment curving away behind it.
Who it is for
Architecture and interiors shooters working in tight spaces, event and sports photographers covering stadiums, and anyone producing immersive or VR content who wants Canon’s L-series optics rather than an action camera.
